Kambi Extends LeoVegas Partners and Signs with Churchill Downs

LeoVegas & Kambi announced that they’d extended their partnership with two subsidiary brands maintained by LV. Partnership contracts with LeoVegas-owned BetUK & 21 Casino will have Kambi’s software remain prevalent on their gaming libraries. It’s not surprising that LeoVegas & Kambi resigned their agreement, with sportsbooks owned by LV being powered by this software since 2016. What’s different about this agreement is that other LeoVegas-owned casinos will obtain the Kambi software before 2020 ends.

Sweden, Denmark, Spain, and the United Kingdom are the betting jurisdictions which LeoVegas maintains the Kambi software. Those regions will remain consistent with their updated contract, guarantying that fans of Kambi-powered games aren’t lost. The timeframe of this revised agreement wasn’t revealed, with most suspecting it’ll sustain one or two years before renewal.

The Chief Executive Officer of Kambi, Kristian Nylén, issued a formal statement on their partnership extension with LeoVegas. Her sentiments were short & clarified that their sportsbetting software will reach other casinos under the ownership of LV. When looking at statements issued by LeoVegas Chief Technical Officer Mattias Wedar, the excitement to continue their journey with Kambi is evident. The CTO mentioned that Kambi has brought notable success to their various sportsbooks & is a key partnership in the yearly growth of LeoVegas.

The Churchill Downs Contract

Resigning with LeoVegas wasn’t the exclusive announcement made by Kambi during the August 27th weekend. It was confirmed that Kambi partnered with Churchill Downs Incorporated, which enabled their software to reach the BetAmerica sportsbook. Kambi emphasized that this secondary agreement wouldn’t have been finalized without the extension contract with LeoVegas.

The Kambi software will become playable in New Jersey, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and the Mississippi. It’ll mark the first instance of their software entering three of these four regions. Kambi’s CEO noted her pleasure, emphasizing that BetAmerica has the potential to become one of the largest sportsbooks in the United States.

Churchill Downs Incorporated feels similarly to Kambi, believing that their software can influence American markets. Churchill Downs next step is transitioning Kambi’s software into their gaming library. Kambi will assist CDI in accomplishing this task before September 1st, 2020.
